Lekker Luchtig
Because I chose to draw the storyboards I found out how incredibly important they are.
The images had to give everyone the same vision on this film and everybody had to understand what was happening. The pictures below show the latest storyboard.
The background was my favourite part of the process, because I got to experiment with colours and materials. I also worked on the rest of the set. Building the little furniture, covering them with plaster, colouring the pink clouds and so on. Working on the set really got my creativity flowing.
Coming up with solutions for certain things such as how to make a cloud fly in the shot really motivated me.
These were concepts I created for the background. I used many different materials to create different looks. Pastels, acrylics, sponges, plastic wrap, anything I could find around me. In the end I decided to go with acrylics on paper big enough to cover the entire backdrop. I used a cloth to smooth out the brush strokes.
