Lekker Luchtig
This film has to be one of my favourite projects I have ever worked on. This is a wonderful short-film about two cloudmakers. Their differences bring them together.
This project started with a group assignment. It was our first time working together, and also our first time creating a stop-motion film.
During this semester I found out how to communicate in a collaboration, What kind of role fits with me and finding out my specialities.
The roles I took within this collaboration were storyboarding, characterbuilding, setbuilding, animating the green character and co-directing in the editing phase.
Welterusten
This is a film Lieke Wouters and I created for our first exhibition at AKV St. Joost.
The theme of the exhibition was ‘Real or not real?’. We took this as an opportunity to create a looped projection about dreams.
One of our biggest challenges was to create a projectoin map and to have it work properly as well.
My focus was once again on the backgrounds, and 2D animation in After Effects and TV Paint.
There is two uploaded versions of this film. The digital film and the actual projection filmed at the exhibition.
Glowing Cave
For this project I had to design an environment in Autodesk Maya.
At the time I had a fascination with drawing caves, and through experimental modeling and a lot of glowing effects I came to the result that is the Glowing Cave.
Out and in Balance
Sometimes simply trying is all you need to do.
This is a short animation about Oscar. A balancer at the circus. Based on the Circus museum in Steenwijk, the Netherlands.
