A story about a peculiar tiny boy called Jubelteen. He travels the fantasy world with his pink friend dragon Harry. He meets a bunch of new friends along the way, including the lovely Jubilea.

The process
This was my first illustrated children’s book. It was the perfect opportunity to experiment and learn. We went with 10 main illustrations in the book. The most important one being the wedding party, where all the dragons sit at a long dinner table together with Jubelteen and Jubilea.
The chapters took some planning, because I was working with 21 chapters. I drew sketches with each of the chapters and after discussing it with the client, we went with the ones that were the most interesting.
Another personal favourite of mine was them flying into Dragonland.
This project was a private commission, which means the finished book won’t be found in stores and will stay within a smaller circle.
