Leven vol Kleur
Ingrid Jansen, an artist and teacher who helped me with my portfolio for the art academy, asked me, Mark van Vliet and Rosalinde van de Velden to help her with her anniversary exhibition, and with that came a book with anecdotes about 40 years being an artist and a teacher.
The books were sold at the exhibition Leven Vol Kleur at Oude School, Kortenhoef. Nov. 24-26 and dec. 1-3 2023.
Mark and I both made illustrations for the anecdotes. We each chose the ones we liked most and got to work. This was my first time collaborating on a book, and I thouroughly enjoyed brainstorming about this fun book. We were 4 very enthusiastic and artistic people, and what came out was a book that screams fun and colour.
The inside of the book was done by Mark van Vliet, which left the cover for me to take on.
The cover was heavily inspired by a painting done by Ingrid Jansen called Venice. Very colourful and playful.
