Freedom Chickens

An illustration based on my love for chickens.
As a child I grew up with chickens in our garden. They weren’t just stuck in their cage all day, they were able to run around the garden, having a fantastic time.
My favourite thing would be when they would run across the grass field. It was adorable and very funny and I have fond memories of those silly chickens of ours.

I wanted to combine that with the story from Chicken Run. A stop-motion film by studio Aardman. It’s about chickens that escape from a pie factory. It used to be one of my favourites growing up.
